If at first you don't succeed!

Poe's GPS led us there but?  After much debate this morning, between flower gardens and the beach, flower gardens won out. A factor in the decision was proximity, the gardens being significantly closer. Off we went, following the GPS signal.  Zeroing in on our destination the situation began to look a bit suspicious, where is the customary traffic around any significant point of interest?  Ours was the only car to be seen and, where are the flowers? The sunflower fields were past blooming and other flowers? victims of the drought? wrong season? nada???
After a delicious lunch in a roadside, open air cafe we drove to Suphan Buri, a city of some size back towards Ayutthaya. Yes, we decided to skip the temple recommended to us in the cafe. Suddenly the world's largest dragon, well maybe, appeared in my view. It's the anchor of the Celestial Dragon Park, a Chinese theme park. All was not lost with the flame out of  the flower gardens. Eschewing the $15. fee to tour the innards of the dragon we wandered the grounds, fed the fish and ogled the statuary, passing up all the booths selling food and clothing, gee haws, etc. Fortunately Chinese New Year's has ended so the crowds were moderate.
What would a drive in the country be without a crop report? Rice growing green is some of the greenest green ever, and there were many fields. There were also many rice fields that had been harvested. Sugar cane harvest is in progress. Rice is subject to lodging, i.e., lying down as is also true of wheat and oats.
    This concludes my report.

Takk for alt,

Al

Note the people in front to get the scale.

Huge bell, note the man sitting to the left.

Prayer cards.

The fish weren't very hungry.
