Changes at 'home'.

Poo (pronounced Poe) went to work today for the first time in three years.  She quit her job to sew in the family's sewing business.  Then, she had a baby, Nice, and has stayed home to take care of him. Her ex-husband (Tong) left while she was pregnant, provides no child support and Thailand has no child support law.
Much of the family income came from Poo's mother, Met, who is certified in Thai massage.  When she wasn't called to do massage she did contract garment sewing at home.  However, the sewing dust was causing Nice, respitory problems so sewing in the house didn't work.  Then, Met developed tendinitis...my diagnosis...in her left thumb so massage became painful and not practical.
Poo is a university graduate and found work immediately when she began to look.  Her field is I.T.,  but I think she does some sort of accounting.  Her salary is approximately $300. per month.  While Poo, works Met, will provide child care an arrangement that is very, very common in Thailand.
