Compassion report.

  Members of Grace University Lutheran and friends sent over $1900. with me to use helping people here. This is what those gifts have accomplished: the repair of a family tuk-tuk (their livelihood) after a fire, paid a month's mortgage payment for a family, paid two weeks rent on booth in a night market for a single mother, bought a used I-phone for a single mother to use for her business, paid half a month's apartment rent for a single mother, contributed toward start up costs in a new business, took two families clothes shopping, paid medical costs for a family, sent two students to a scout camp, paid for a phone bill for a phone used for business and more.
  When the recipients are told that these are gifts, not loans, and that it is from a church and friends in America the response is often tears and always deep appreciation.
