Journal entry by Joanne Negstad — 23 hours ago
Joanne had a lending library of art work. Were any of you readers ever lent a piece of art from Joanne's lending library? It was a very small collection, yes, very, very, small...one framed picture. She often offered to persons who were going through a difficult transition. It is an artistic expression of one of the tenants of her faith. Since, Joanne died I have lent it out again.
The picture depicts a trapeze artist high in the air, who is releasing one trapeze, as he/she reaches out for another trapeze swinging nearby. Unseen by the acrobat is a huge hand cupped below to catch the artist should he/she fall. It is a pictorial rendition of Joanne's belief that God's unseen hand is always present during difficult transitions.
Yes, that has been my experience through Joanne illness, death and since. God's hand is experienced in the response of family and friends. Today. there was life giving conversation with long time friends, with relatives celebrating their 62nd wedding anniversary, with my immediate family and in sharing in my granddaughter's bed time. Blessings abound.
Blessings,
