Journal entry by Joanne Negstad — May 25, 2018
They are buried in Sunset Memorial Gardens. For two of the burials I was present; Joanne's parents, Oscar C. Hanson and Myrtle. Also buried there are her grandparents, Knut and Ida Lokken and her aunt, Inga. We would buy fresh flowers, pick up metal vases at the entrance to the cemetery, and find the water sipgot to fill the vases. After cleaning the grave stones we'd leave fresh flowers in the vases. Joanne, like her mother, loved flowers.
Now it's time for me to put fresh flowers on her grave. O the absence is so present in this act of love.
Blessings,
Al
