Truth be known I do have little annoyances like the confusion between 'lay' and 'lie'. Another is the confusion between cement and concrete. Cement is the powdered clay mixed with water and sand/gravel that together create concrete. So it's not a cement sidewalk it's a concrete one. 😄 When I was teaching at Noble Academy I had fun teaching the students about cement and concrete. It would be fun to know if they ever do anything with the knowledge.
All of that is a lead in to a report on the activity at the cemetery today. The foundation under Joanne's grave marker was concrete. Concrete lasts a very long time but eventually it crumbles. So, today the local monument company replaced the concrete with granite which has a much longer life cycle. While they were at it they also replaced the concrete under my parents marker. While concrete lasts decades granite lasts centuries.
Takk for alt,
Al
PS The gentle rain yesterday brought almost an inch of moisture.
