Decisions

It's been over five years that I've lived without adult supervision. Lisa and Lars do the best they can to supervise from a distance. The loneliness of singular decision making came to the fore again this morning. The outdoor temperature was 43 degrees with the wind howling. The presenting question: "Do I have permission to turn on the furnace?"  I imagined Joanne saying "It's October 6, and cold, go for it!" So I did.

Likewise there was no one to ask about travel. With the authority vested in me I booked a trip to Greece. Tomorrow I'll leave Kaia in a kennel in Brookings and motor to the OFH. Early Sunday I'll fly to Athens. Travel in Greece will be led by Anna Christofordos, proprietor of The Gardens Of Salonica restaurant in Mpls. Joanne and I went with her in 2016.

There will be 13 in the group. I'm going for the food. 😋  Anna takes us to restaurants she knows, taking three groups a year to Greece, orders the food and we eat family style.  Some of the itinerary will duplicate the 2016 trip.

Expect a small hiccup in the blog while I transverse the Atlantic. When I'm in Greece I intend to continue daily blogging.

Takk for alt,

Al

The Parthenon pictured from out hotel in 2016. Likely I'll be there Monday.
