This Is A Daily Reminder
Published: March 2015
This is a daily reminder
To relax,
To not get angry over small things,
To stay calm.
This is a daily reminder
To be yourself,
To not care what people think,
To know you can be anything.
This is a daily reminder
To love yourself,
To not hurt yourself,
To not work yourself up.
This is a daily reminder
That you are beautiful,
That you are amazing,
That you will succeed.
This is a daily reminder
To always have hope,
To have faith,
To know everything will be okay.
This is a daily reminder
That you have made it so far already,
That you haven't given up,
That whatever you're doing is right,
And that you are going to be amazing.
Don't give up.
Keep holding on and believing.
Who would have thought that this many months into COVID-19 things would still be getting worse? While I live comfortably in The Little House so many others suffer so much. The virus exacerbates so many inequities. The basic lack of understanding of the reality of virus spread is very discouraging, Yes, it can happen to me and to you. In Asia it's standard that persons mask if they have any respiratory symptoms. American's declaration that they have the freedom to go maskless is the equivalent logic of claiming the right to yell "fire" in a crowded theater. My mask is not for my protection but for the protection of others.
Ah yes, I remain profoundly blessed and profoundly grateful.
Takk for alt,
Al
PS On August 31, I will make my last post on Caring Bridge and from then I will post only on www.negstad.blogspot.com.
