It's Friday and today I'll relocate from Bangkok to Ayutthaya. I'll be staying with the same family that I lived with the last two years. Accommodations are not quite what I have here in the Bangkok Christian Guesthouse but the family and I have many laughs and a lot of fun.
To get to Ayutthaya I'll walk three blocks to the Sky Train (elevated railway) and ride it to the Victory Monument. The monument is in the center of a huge traffic circle. Around the outside of the circle are parked mini-buses (18 passenger vans) which travel all over Thailand. They are not scheduled, when a bus is full it departs, and it almost never picks up passengers en-route. However, it will disembarked passengers any place they request. In Ayutthaya I'll call a family (we helped them by repairing their tuk-tuk last year) and they'll pick me up in their 3 wheeled taxi called a tuk-tuk and bring me to my house. The trip will take about an hour and a half and cost about $7.00.
On Monday I'll be back at Wat Klang School for my fourth year of teaching in that school. So, the students I'll teach in 6th grade I began teaching as 3rd graders. I'm looking forward to it.
