Journal entry by Al Negstad — 13 minutes ago
While being with the granddaughters at bedtime tonight it struck me again how blessed I am. Both of our children lived far away; Cambodia & Norway, and various eastern cities in America, but, now both are in south Minneapolis. This puts them and my granddaughters in easy reach.
When I was in the depths of grief I was blessed by the presence both of immediate and extended family. Those blessing continue and through the darkest days they, together with friends, gave me hope. Now, as the valleys of grief level out a bit, gratitude floods my soul for their presence. It was invaluable then and continues to sustain me today.
What a wonder to have friends on four continents, numerous countries and many states. Truly I am blessed!
Blessings,
Al
