The Wind Subsided!

It was kind of a wimpy blizzard. The wind blew hard for two days, it did it's part. Temperatures were moderate, mid-twenties. There are no ten foot high snow drifts because there wasn't much snow. Two to three inches would be my guess. Consequently the drifts are not very deep. Had there been major snowfall it would have been a significant blizzard.

Trygve and I were happy to be out again. We saw several deer, which are very spooky since deer hunting season ended recently. Many pheasants were hunkered down in the cattails but none came home with me. It's a pleasure to see so many. Life has been easy for them until now so they are in good shape for winter survival. A quarter mile east of the cattails where I saw them is a huge food plot of standing corn. It's on a state wildlife area and will provide more than adequate food through the winter. They can access it with a short flight or walk which almost all would be in the cover of cattails.

   Waiting for my vaccine.

Takk for alt,

Al
