A 5th grader at Noble Academy asked if they have spelling tests at Wat Klong. Another asked how many subjects they have. So, I did a little research and this is what I learned.
Teachers are responsible for 9 subjects. They are; Thai language including reading, writing, spelling and speaking, (Yes, there are spelling tests and because Thai has 44 consonants, 32 vowels and 5 tone signs, spelling is much more difficult than English.) math., science, English, social studies, history, health, phy.ed., and art. Art includes dancing, singing ,and drawing.
