Today is one of those days without an original thought. Dinner at the bank at noon and the owner was present. The town grain elevator is searching for a new manager. So, I suggested to the banker that the bank take over the elevator. It could be called "Citizens State Bank and Elevator." He saw the humor but it doesn't seem likely to happen. Across the street from the bank is the vacated American Legion Hall since the Legion disbanded. Full of good ideas, I suggested that the bank open a Mexican Restaurant in the building...no takers on that either.
The day did feature two delightful conversations with cousins. It's the gift of the telephone, properly used. Joanne's fear that I'd be a social isolate has not come to fruition.
